As a Security Officer - Academic Institution you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a higher education location you will be the welcoming presence for students faculty staff and visitors. You will monitor access verify credentials maintain awareness of security-related activity respond to concerns and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $19.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service at a front desk within an educational setting by greeting students faculty staff visitors and vendors and directing them according to site-specific procedures.
• Monitor access to the location verify visitor credentials as required maintain visitor logs and communicate access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents requests for assistance and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following established emergency response activities.
• Observe front desk and lobby activity report suspicious or unauthorized activity and help to deter unauthorized access through a professional presence.
• Provide clear information regarding building entry procedures campus resources and scheduled events while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
