Security Install Supervisor

At Johnson Controls you will help deliver integrated security and building system solutions that support customer safety and day-to-day this lead field role you will install and service card access CCTV intrusion alarm electronic fire alarm and related building system products at customer sites while guiding installation technicians and keeping projects moving to completion.

This position combines hands-on technical installation with field leadership. You will coordinate work at customer sites oversee installation technicians manage project progress and support customer communication from start to finish. The role requires strong blueprint reading troubleshooting programming and documentation skills along with a practical safety-minded approach to service delivery.

• Install and service card access CCTV intrusion alarm electronic fire alarm and other related building system products at customer sites.
• Lead direct oversee and guide the work of installation technicians.
• Manage projects and ensure timely completion of assigned work.
• Hold regular meetings and provide detailed reports to support project execution and communication.
• Read and interpret blueprints diagrams submittals specifications software/systems programs schematics and operational product manuals.
• Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and use technical manuals part manuals change notices bulletins and modification notices to repair equipment.
• Complete installation programming and testing using smart phones and laptop computers.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers to support a positive customer experience.
• Obtain customer signature upon completion of the installation contract.
• Maintain truck inventory to help ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Own the outcome by working safely maintaining integrity in every job and following through until the installation is complete and documented correctly.
• Stay close to the work by using blueprints manuals and troubleshooting guidance to remove obstacles quickly at the jobsite.
• Improve every day through clear communication detailed reporting and practical problem-solving.
• Win as one team by coaching technicians sharing knowledge and building trust with customers and colleagues.

• 10 years of experience in the Security Industry including installing inspecting repairing and programming card access CCTV and intrusion systems.
• Experience leading and mentoring installation technicians.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of test equipment multi-meter digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints submittals and operational/product manuals.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings and similar environments.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
• Ability to adhere to implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Strong organizational skills a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
• Valid drivers license and a driving record that meets company requirements.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
• Retain any licenses required by National State and Local codes.
• Knowledge of applicable NFPA standards.

• NICET experience.
• Associate degree in IT or Electronics.
• Experience installing inspecting repairing and programming card access and CCTV.
• Fire alarm experience.
• Networking experience.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $37.99-$51.92 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.)
