As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Armed DCJS Patrol in Fairfax VA this role is designed to provide reliable consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.74 / Hour

Job Schedule:

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (Anchor Shifts): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. Its all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility income stability and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients visitors staff and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including medical emergencies disturbances and access-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities parking areas exterior grounds and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents observations and patrol activities accurately and promptly and communicate relevant information to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid Virginia DCJS license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
