Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Security Advisor located in Houston TX through 08/10/2026 at 11:59 p.m. (Central Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Conduct complex investigations to protect Chevrons people assets information and interests. Investigations may include but are not limited to allegations of fraud conflict of interest misuse of company assets policy violations intellectual property loss and theft.
  • Prepare investigative reports and brief senior management and company legal representatives on investigative findings.
  • Develop and assesses threat information in coordination with the geopolitical risk team to determine impact on company staff and operations.
  • Provide security and risk management advice to company leadership. Conduct security risk and management assessments at designated company facilities and recommend risk-based security measures to protect company personnel and assets; support emergency planning and response; provide integrated security assistance to enable the safe and secure execution of major business decisions projects and base business.
  • Advise on and implement best-practice and cost-effective risk-based security policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships and liaison with federal state and local law enforcement agencies and peer private sector security professionals.
  • Provide executive protection for senior company officers when required.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of security services for special events and other major company activities.
  • Perform other duties as determined by Global Security management.
  • Role requires regular travel and time away from the office (approximately 25%).
  • This position requires occasional international travel.
  • This position requires occasional work outside of normal business hours.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in law enforcement and/or corporate security
  • Proven experience conducting complex investigations.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter with proven ability to lead and motivate.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with experienced presentation ability. Capable and comfortable in presentations to high level executives and government officials.
  • Must have a valid US passport or is able to obtain one shortly after being hired.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working for a U.S. federal law enforcement agency or working as a member of a U.S. federal law enforcement agency task force.
  • Experience conducting investigations with national security implications.
  • Current U.S. Government security clearance or have held a US. Government security clearance during the past 5 years.
  • International work-related experience
  • Foreign language ability
