Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Structural Analysis Engineer in Melbourne Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support structural stress engineering for an advanced military aircraft program performing static dynamic and damage-tolerance structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures. The engineer will use both hand calculations and approved analytical tools to evaluate loads structural integrity and complex engineering problems.

Required Skills

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience including aerospace structural analysis; OR masters degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of relevant experience; OR Ph.D. in a STEM discipline with 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in aerospace structural analysis.
  • Experience performing static dynamic and damage-tolerance structural analyses.
  • Experience analyzing metallic and composite airframe structures mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ability to perform structural analysis using hand calculations and automated analytical methods.
  • Experience with FEMAP NX Teamcenter or similar engineering software.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex engineering problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment while managing and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance and required program access.

Preferred Skills

  • Current in-scope DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Airframe experience involving advanced composite materials.
  • Experience using AFGROW.
  • Experience leading engineering projects or teams.

What Youll Do

  • Perform static dynamic and damage-tolerance structural analyses of metallic and composite airframe structures.
  • Analyze mechanical systems and equipment using hand calculations and approved analytical methods.
  • Derive non-flight applied loads as required.
  • Create extract and distribute internal structural loads.
  • Use tools such as FEMAP NX Teamcenter and other engineering applications to support structural analysis.
  • Evaluate complex structural engineering problems and develop technically sound solutions.
  • Coordinate with engineering team members to meet program objectives and project requirements.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple engineering assignments simultaneously.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 9/80 A work schedule.
  • Stated work hours: 8:00 AM4:00 PM.
  • Onsite in Melbourne Florida.

Pay

  • Up to $91.67 per hour.
