FLSA Status: This position is a 19-hour a week exempt position 12-month year wage per classified salary schedule 4 personal days annually. This position does not include insurance benefits or PERSI.

JOB SUMMARY:
The School Nutrition Warehouse Associate supports the daily operations of the Districts food service warehouse by assisting with the receipt storage organization distribution and delivery of food commodities supplies and equipment to District schools and facilities. The position assists with maintaining accurate inventory rotating stock preparing and loading orders and ensuring warehouse areas are maintained in a clean safe and organized manner.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School or GED equivalent;
- Valid Idaho drivers license;
- Knowledge of forklift operations and/or experience operating a forklift.
Knowledge of:
- Knowledge of computers using program applications appropriate to assigned duties;
- Warehouse inventory and record-keeping programs;
- Warehouse operating methods and practices;
- Safety policies and procedures regarding warehousing operations;
- Basic Maintenance and repair work;
- Methods materials tools and standard practices of chemical cleaning agents.
Ability to:
- Determine the quality and quantity of items received against the ordered amount;
- Safely operate power lifting equipment and delivery trucks;
- Perform heavy physical labor for sustained periods following appropriate safety procedures;
- Perform arithmetical computations rapidly and accurately.
- Follow written and oral instructions and observe department policies and procedures;
- Operate a motor vehicle;
- Perform minor equipment maintenance of kitchen equipment such as but not limited to dishwashers mixers ovens and holding cabinets;
- Operate a computer;
- Communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (may vary by assignment):
- Coordinates the ordering of food and supplies with the assistance of the food service supervisor;
- Manages receipt of commodities some food and non-food orders;
- Coordinates resolution of discrepancies of product deliveries through communication with food service supervisor and vendors as necessary;
- Works directly with Food Service Supervisor and Kitchen Managers to ensure the availability and distribution of all products to schools;
- Ensures all purchases and deliveries to schools are complete and timely;
- Manages warehouse and storage of all supplies and equipment working to develop and build to levels for all warehouse products;
- Works with food service supervisor to plan for orderly replacement of existing movable equipment as it becomes obsolete or deteriorates;
- Prepares and maintains a preventative maintenance plan;
- Assists with preventative maintenance measures of food service equipment and utensils;
- Operates tools equipment and vehicles according to prescribed safety procedures;
- Corrects unsafe conditions in work areas and reports any conditions that are not correctable to the Food Service Supervisor immediately
