Position Summary

The School Nurse is responsible for the coordination and development of a health program in the assigned area of responsibility. Communicates the health needs of students to administrators supervisors and staff. The School Nurse may coordinate the activities of a licensed practical nurse/nurse aide in the assigned area.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field required; valid State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required; eligibility for a school nurse certificate required; current CPR preferred
• Experience in public health or school nursing preferred; experience working with children with disabilities preferred
• Strong clinical nursing skills including medication administration health monitoring and emergency response
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff students families and community partners in a team-based environment
• Excellent communication organization and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple health needs and maintain accurate records
• Ability to maintain confidentiality exercise sound judgment and demonstrate professionalism while working in a dynamic school setting

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range:$48446.00 - $94537.00 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications

Work Schedule: 186 Days 7 Hours

Paid Time Off:

• Sick days - 10
• Personal Business days - 3
• Bereavement Leave
