Job Summary
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology Test & Evaluation Program Mission Support Engineering & Analysis and Training.
As a Scheduler with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:
- Develop maintain and manage complex Microsoft Project schedules for technical programs.
- Build and maintain integrated master schedules and supporting detailed schedules aligned with program scope milestones deliverables and dependencies.
- Ensure schedules are structured to support progress tracking forecasting critical path analysis and earned value management assessments.
- Coordinate with program managers technical leads functional managers and control account managers to define activities durations logic constraints milestones and resource assumptions.
- Status schedules on a recurring basis using input from responsible leads and team members.
- Analyze schedule performance identify variances assess impacts and support development of corrective actions and recovery plans.
- Perform schedule quality checks to ensure compliance with scheduling best practices contract requirements and organizational standards.
- Maintain schedule baselines and document changes through formal change control processes.
- Support monthly or periodic performance reporting including schedule metrics milestone status critical path analysis and forecast completion dates.
- Prepare schedule products and data for program reviews customer briefings and internal management reporting.
- Support earned value management activities by ensuring schedule data is properly aligned with work scope status methods and performance measurement needs.
- Coordinate schedule integration across projects task orders subcontractors and functional workstreams as applicable.
- Identify and communicate schedule risks logic issues resource conflicts and data anomalies.
- Support audits assessments and data calls related to schedule performance and schedule quality
THIS HYBRID POSITION REQUIRES 3 DAYS OF WORK IN THE OFFICE AND 2 DAYS REMOTE PER WEEK
- Bachelors Degree and two (2) to four (4) years of experience; a combination of education and experience can be used in lieu of degree
- Secret Clearance
- Experience scheduling facilities and services for multiple agencies
- Minimum five (5) years experience working with Microsoft Office software and Internet usage
- Ability to coordinate several events simultaneously and the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work independently at times and make appropriate decisions under time constraints
- Skills in communication public speaking providing constructive feedback and handling complaints
