SummaryBalfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Scheduler to join our large projects team in Dallas Scheduler assists Business Development Preconstruction and Operations with preparation development and progress updates of project schedules. This individual functions as a project team member in relation to schedule issues as necessary. He or she will train and mentor operations personnel in scheduling matters and related policies and provide the most accurate and complete scheduling information for new and ongoing business FunctionsAttend job site meetings work and meet with architects engineers subcontractors owners and contact and visit job sites in order to develop the project standard and custom graphs and charts for site personnel to manage the support and guidance to ensure the baseline schedule submission is timely complete accurate and in compliance with standard company procedures and the full time to the jobsite office with occasional time required onsite for schedule progress owner activities project close-out activities and activities from Technical Services and Safety Departments into all project schedule fragnets specific to design changes RFIs and delays in the in meetings regarding project delay issues and suggest alternative means and methods of scheduling in order to recover the projects progress as and know the importance of maintaining the integrity of schedule implementation of company policies and procedures for project monthly schedule status report for project scheduling software technical assistance to company the jobsite as needed for assistance in schedule collaboratively with the project team in order to facilitate weekly schedule updates which will be published to the trade partners and reported to ConditionsThe majority of work is completed in an office with visits to project sites. Due to daily condition changes on construction projects when employees are outside of the office trailer or structure they must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the companys safety policies and as required for weather Experience and KnowledgeFive years minimum field experience required with bachelors degree in Construction Management or 8 - 10 years of progressive equivalent work experience in the commercial construction -depth experience with our scheduled software (Oracle P6) is requirement of the understanding of constructability issues and knowledge of techniques for baseline computer skills including the ability to use word processing spread sheets etc. and advanced skills in scheduling to gain trust and support of others encourages collaboration is cooperative and seen as a team to proactively manage claim avoidance and navigate adversarial sub/owner to effectively and proactively communicate in a variety of settings and styles; can gain new skills knowledge and technical abilities to create and manage related assignments and schedules based on key priorities of assigned projects while adjusting for roadblocks and evaluating works hard to meet challenges and deadlines while maintaining commitment to quality and developing others to meet/exceed internal and external customers and innovative in planning and troubleshooting; able to focus on small details and the overall functional and technical knowledge and skills while striving to learn new skills and knowledge in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company its values and the employees while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
