SCADA Engineering Manager Water & Wastewater Automation

Direct Hire Minneapolis MN $120k - $170k

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced SCADA Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for developing and delivering SCADA systems operator interfaces communications networks and reporting solutions for water wastewater utility and process automation applications.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining engineering management project oversight customer interaction and technical leadership. The ideal candidate has significant controls/SCADA experience strong communication skills and experience mentoring and developing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mentor and manage a team of SCADA Engineers.
• Assign engineers to projects and manage priorities workloads and project deliverables.
• Establish and maintain SCADA programming configuration documentation and version-control standards.
• Provide technical leadership on complex SCADA controls and networking projects.
• Oversee development of operator interfaces real-time databases reporting alarming and communications systems.
• Support configuration of industrial networks servers switches and firewalls.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that may impact project schedules or performance.
• Develop training programs and provide ongoing technical mentoring to engineering staff.
• Drive the long-term roadmap and technology strategy for SCADA systems.
• Participate in hiring onboarding performance management and professional development of engineering team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field and 10 years of control system programming/integration experience. Additional experience may substitute for formal education.
• 10 years of experience with industrial controls and SCADA systems.
• Strong experience with water/wastewater automation or other process industries.
• Previous experience leading mentoring or managing engineering personnel.
• Strong customer-facing and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
