As the SAS Program Administrator you will serve as the operational backbone of our Student Accessibility Support (SAS) this dynamic hands-on role you will wear many hatsfrom managing daily office operations and overseeing accessible technology resources to recruiting and mentoring a vibrant team of student workers. You will be a primary point of contact for students families faculty and staff ensuring that our campus accessibility programs run seamlessly every day.

- Varied & Engaging Work: No two days are the same! Balance daily communications student training sessions event coordination and administrative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Communications & Office Operations (35%): Be the welcoming voice of SAS! Respond to inquiries manage general office needs and oversee broad student and community communications.
- Student Staff Supervision (30%): Recruit hire train and manage student workers (Notetakers Alt-Text Editors SAS Fellows) and oversee timecard processing.
- Assistive Technology & Resources (10%): Manage the borrowing maintenance and setup of accessible tech exam laptops software licenses and specialized furniture.
- Training & Education (10%): Provide individual and group trainings on accessibility tools (e.g. Kurzweil 3000) and the creation/remediation of accessible documents.
- Operational Support (15%): Assist with exam proctoring event planning departmental budget tracking and document remediation as needed.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree (or equivalent) OR an Associates degree with formal administrative training plus 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience: 13 years of progressive administrative program support experience or relevant internship and/or student work experience.
- Skills: Excellent communication strong organizational abilities empathy and sound judgment in handling confidential or non-routine situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education student support or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Demonstrated expertise or strong interest in generating and remediating digital documents to meet accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of assistive technology tools (e.g. Kurzweil 3000 Genio smartpens)
