The Salesforce Architect will lead the design and implementation of Salesforce based solutions supporting a Department of Defense clients mission critical business processes. This role will define scalable architecture guide platform configuration and customization and ensure solutions align with client data governance and security requirements. The position works closely with program stakeholders and technical teams to translate mission needs into effective sustainable Salesforce capabilities.

Location: San Diego CA Hybrid

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Design and document Salesforce platform architecture to support current and future business process needs
  • Lead configuration and customization of Salesforce objects workflows flows and automation to meet client requirements
  • Define and enforce data governance security and access control models within the Salesforce environment
  • Partner with business analysts and stakeholders to translate mission requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Oversee integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems and data sources
  • Guide development teams on best practices for Salesforce customization coding standards and release management
  • Conduct technical reviews and provide recommendations to improve platform performance and reliability
  • Support testing deployment and change management activities for new Salesforce releases and enhancements
  • Develop technical documentation including architecture diagrams data models and design specifications
  • Stay current on Salesforce platform updates and recommend adoption of new features where beneficial

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in computer science information systems or a related field
  • 7 to 10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture development or administration
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing complex Salesforce solutions at an enterprise scale
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce data model security architecture and integration patterns
  • Experience with Apex Visualforce Lightning Web Components and Salesforce APIs
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Government Cloud or similarly regulated environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to analyze technical challenges and contribute to effective solutions in a team environment
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect or Application Architect certification
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or other federal government programs
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices for Salesforce
  • Experience with data integration tools such as MuleSoft or similar middleware platforms
  • Masters degree in a related technical field
