Job Summary

This is an exploratory requisition intended to assess interest and identify qualified candidates for a potential Sales Director opportunity. The geographic location territory assignment and timing have not yet been determined and will be based on business and organizational needs. The Sales Director is a leadership position within the Sales organization responsible for leading and developing a team of Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Area Sales Representatives (ASRs). This position supports Sirtex in achieving its commercial objectives through effective sales leadership talent development territory and account management budget oversight and cross-functional partnership.

The Sales Director will work closely with the VP of Sales and other functional leaders to ensure the Sales organization has the leadership resources and support necessary to execute against established business objectives.

Location: To be determined based on business and organizational needs. Candidates should have flexibility regarding geographic responsibility and travel requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage assigned sales budget and quotas.
  • Partner directly with the VP of Sales to implement strategies and tactics that support achievement of commercial objectives.
  • Develop and recommend sales plans for assigned RSMs and ASRs.
  • Manage sales expenses within the assigned area.
  • Recruit develop coach and manage RSMs and ASRs.
  • Make recommendations regarding account coverage territory alignment and sales team geographies.
  • Partner with Marketing and other functional leaders in managing Key Opinion Leader relationships.
  • Support the ongoing development of sales leaders and team members.
  • Coordinate training and development for existing and newly hired RSMs and ASRs.
  • Develop and implement sales programs designed to facilitate achievement of sales objectives.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to appropriately resource Sales team needs.
  • Work directly with Marketing to execute agreed-upon strategies and tactics including new product launches.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant disease states market dynamics competitive developments and the evolving healthcare environment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable company policies procedures and AdvaMed requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of medical device experience required; experience in Oncology or Interventional Radiology strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated sales management experience within the medical device industry required.
  • Proven ability to lead coach and develop sales professionals.
  • Ability to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders including healthcare professionals and internal business partners.
  • Demonstrated initiative judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical requirements include sitting walking and standing for prolonged periods; possible exposure to radiation; and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50%65% including occasional weekends and holidays as business needs require.
  • Current valid drivers license.
