Roller Operator Columbia, SC

Sparta Networking is supporting a leading construction company in hiring an experienced Roller Operator to support asphalt paving and sitework operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role focused on achieving proper compaction maintaining surface quality and supporting overall crew productivity.

• Operate rollers to compact asphalt soil and other materials to required specifications
• Monitor compaction levels and adjust rolling patterns as needed
• Work closely with paving and grading crews to maintain proper timing and workflow
• Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Identify and report mechanical or safety issues
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with OSHA and safety standards

• Experience operating rollers in asphalt paving or sitework environments
• Understanding of compaction techniques and surface quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
• Experience in roadwork paving or heavy civil construction preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

• Physically demanding role including lifting up to 60 lbs
• Exposure to outdoor conditions heat noise and heavy equipment
• Use of PPE required at all times
