Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble inspect evaluate recommend repairs for a wide array of paper machine rolls/rotating equipment.
  • Inspect and measure parts to determine conformance to specifications through use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Confer with engineers production personnel or others as needed to satisfactorily resolve recommended roll preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Perform agreed upon roll preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Reassemble rolls after repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform all job requirements according to procedures as outlined in the VOITH Quality Manual Company Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Reports problems to higher levels of authority as required by the Quality System.
  • All other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must possess good mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous assembly mechanical maintenance paper machine roll service or millwright experience is desired.
  • High School graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Vocational school graduate or apprenticeship in machining millwright mechanical maintenance or equivalent is desired but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings is a plus.
