The anticipated application window will close on October 13 Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesRobot Programming & AutomationDevelop modify and optimize robot programs to support production robot setup programming teaching touch-ups and application adjustments for new and existing product changeovers and ensure proper program configuration and the implementation of robotic automation improvements across manufacturing Support & TroubleshootingProvide hands-on technical support for robotic welding and automated manufacturing and resolve robot tooling equipment and process-related issues to minimize production teams in achieving daily output cycle time and efficiency with operations engineering and maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted Improvement & OptimizationContinuously improve robotic programs and manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and welding parameters robot paths sequence logic and cell performance to reduce cycle times and improve Lean Manufacturing Kaizen and continuous improvement opportunities to increase automation effectiveness and process & Process ControlEnsure robotic processes consistently meet customer specifications and company quality weld quality dimensional accuracy and process quality concerns non-conformances and defects implementing corrective and preventive actions as root cause analysis and continuous quality improvement Reliability & Maintenance SupportPerform routine robot inspections TCP verification calibration and system health maintenance teams in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing corrective robot tooling and automation system performance to prevent unplanned preventive and predictive maintenance Product Introduction (NPI)Support new product launches through robot programming process development and validation in trial runs process capability studies and production readiness with fixture tooling and automation validation to ensure successful program with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of new manufacturing & ComplianceEnsure robotic systems operate in accordance with company safety standards policies and the functionality of safety devices interlocks guarding systems and operational a culture of safety and proactively identify and report compliance with all applicable regulatory and company & TrainingMaintain robot programs setup sheets work instructions process documentation and revision operators and technicians on robot operation setup procedures and basic troubleshooting standardization efforts and the sharing of best practices across manufacturing to the development and maintenance of technical documentation and training ResponsibilitiesPerform other duties and projects as format reads more like a Manufacturing Engineer Automation / Robotics Engineer job description and aligns well with professional manufacturing recruiting QualificationsDiploma associate degree Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Robotics Automation or a related technical field. Minimum 25 years of experience in robotic welding automation or robotic manufacturing pass any drug screens background checks and any pre-employment tests which will be conducted in accordance with applicable QualificationsCertification in robot programming or operation (FANUC KUKA etc.). Experience with robotic welding cells for heavy fabrication or structural steel components. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
