Job Locations: Houston TX or Pittsburgh PA (HMs Preference is for Pittsburgh) 5 days a week onsite

Must-Have Experience

5 years of roadway permitting experience

Bachelors degree

Travel: 6075% (Sites mostly Texas Ohio northeast states and some local Pittsburgh projects)

Roadway/transportation experience

Experience working with local/state agencies and DOTs

Experience with roadway access crossings haul routes or transportation logistics

Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills

Comfortable with significant travel

Preferred

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or Transportation Engineering

Experience with RUMA/RUA ROE and Railroad Crossing Agreements

Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) experience

Oversize/overweight permitting

Roadway construction and restoration

Contract administration

Experience coordinating with railroad representatives

Responsibilities/Expectations:

• Develops and executes roadway/railroad permitting strategies for power innovation projects aligning schedule constructability and compliance needs.
• Partners with Engineering Project Managers Environmental Permit Managers and consultants to identify and site public road crossings driveway entrances and access points that can be installed and maintained safely.
• Plans contractor haul routes and access logistics incorporating weight-restricted roads/bridges and local roadway constraints.
• Interfaces with local and state agencies (towns boroughs townships cities counties and state DOTs) to align traffic engineering public safety roadway conditions and maintenance.

Education/Years of Experience:

Engineer III:

• Required: Bachelors degree and minimum eight (5) years environmental experience
