Job Description

Atlas is seeking a CM Inspector 2 to support highway and bridge construction projects in Midland TX ensuring work is completed in accordance with approved plans specifications and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe reliable infrastructure by performing field inspections documenting construction activities and verifying compliance with TxDOT requirements. The ideal candidate will work closely with contractors engineers and project stakeholders to identify issues maintain accurate records and support successful project delivery. Responsibilities include reviewing daily reports conducting field measurements verifying quantities and monitoring construction operations throughout the project lifecycle. Successful candidates are detail-oriented safety-focused and comfortable working in active construction environments while managing multiple priorities. Core Responsibilities

• Inspect highway and bridge construction operations to verify compliance with approved TxDOT plans special provisions and contract specifications.
• Review and process daily work reports material submittals shop drawings and monthly progress estimates.
• Perform field measurements and standard calculations to establish accurate pay item quantities.
• Coordinate directly with resident engineers contractors and city officials to resolve on-site alignment and structural discrepancies.
• Monitor contractor traffic control setups and erosion control devices to ensure adherence to safety regulations.

Youll thrive here if you have

• Experience inspecting roadway highway bridge or other heavy civil construction projects.
• Working knowledge of TxDOT plans specifications standard details and construction practices.
• Experience reviewing daily reports calculating quantities and maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and help resolve field issues and construction discrepancies.
• The ability to communicate effectively with engineers contractors inspectors and public agency representatives.
