Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys leading a team supporting residents and creating a high-quality care environment We are seeking a compassionate and hospitality-minded RN Unit Supervisor to oversee nursing care and daily clinical operations during assigned shifts within a senior living setting.
This position is ideal for an RN who is confident in both hands-on resident care and team leadership. The RN Unit Supervisor will help ensure residents receive safe timely and person-centered care while supporting nursing staff CNAs families physicians and the broader care team.
- Oversee nursing care and clinical services during assigned shifts
- Supervise nursing staff and direct care team members
- Administer medications treatments and direct resident care as needed
- Support residents with ADLs when necessary
- Coordinate admissions discharges and transfers
- Lead daily clinical huddles with floor staff
- Assign CNA staff and help ensure appropriate shift coverage
- Review and assist with clinical documentation
- Communicate resident condition changes to physicians and families
- Participate in care planning IDT meetings and care conferences
- Assist with pharmacy recommendations and medication room responsibilities
- Maintain medication dispensing systems and related duties
- Provide floor nurse coverage during staffing shortages or coverage needs
- Help monitor staffing efficiency and reduce unnecessary overtime
- Support regulatory survey readiness and compliance efforts
- Give and receive shift reports
- Round throughout each shift to ensure residents are receiving proper care in a safe clean and comfortable environment
- Assist the Director of Nursing with delegated tasks as needed
- Active unrestricted California RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a long-term care or senior living setting preferred
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Wound certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills
- Excellent communication organization and documentation abilities
