Job Summary
Description:Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking professional and supervisory discretion and independent department includes all functions related to operating room services including intraoperative patient care. It also may include perfusion services inpatient and/or outpatient services and other operating room support functions. It does not include PACU anesthesia functions pre op holding and/or central sterile functions. If your department is operating as a combined department with all surgery services combined please notify FP&A and we can map it to Surgical Services Combined Without Anesthesia to provide you with an appropriate benchmark.
