Position Details:

RN-Medical Surgical Unit- Fort Defiance AZ

Location : Fort Defiance AZ 86504

Duration : 13 weeks

Pay-rate : $54-$57 an hour

Job Description:

Registered Nurse for Med-Surg Unit (MSU) for adult geriatrics and pediatric patients.

With EXCELLENT Staffing Ratios: Non-Covid: typically 4:1 max 5:1. Covid patients: typically 2:1 max 3:1.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.

Assess patients conditions and monitor vital signs and overall health status.

Develop implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.

Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.

Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond appropriately.

Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans medications and discharge instructions.

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Follow infection control patient safety and hospital policies and procedures.

Respond effectively to urgent and changing patient care needs.

Support a positive and professional patient-care environment.

Required Certifications:

American Heart Association

BLS

ACLS

PALS

Experience:

Three (3) years of med-surg experience

1-year pediatric experience required

Must be comfortable with both adult and pediatric patients.
