- Provides comprehensive nursing care through accurate patient assessment care planning implementation evaluation pain management and recognition of changes in patient condition.
- Demonstrates proficiency in essential clinical skills including IV and central line management blood specimen collection urinary and NG catheter care tracheostomy care medication administration point-of-care testing and post-operative pain management.
- Promotes patient safety and quality care by adhering to infection prevention standard precautions fall and injury prevention patient identification informed consent advance directives confidentiality and organizational policies.
- Advocates for patients and families by providing individualized education emotional support culturally responsive care and clear communication while supporting informed healthcare decisions.
- Collaborates effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams through SBAR handoffs accurate documentation appropriate delegation and supervision continuity-of-care reporting emergency preparedness and ongoing professional development.
- 3-5 years circulating experience in a Perioperative setting in multiple service-lines upon hire
- Registered Nurse: CA RN upon hire
- Basic Life Support - BLS upon hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS upon hire
