  • Provides safe comprehensive patient care through assessment care planning implementation evaluation pain management patient positioning fall/injury prevention skin care and recognition of patient deterioration.
  • Demonstrates strong clinical and technical skills including IV and central line management blood specimen collection urinary and NG catheter care tracheostomy care point-of-care testing medication administration and use of surgical/post-operative equipment.
  • Ensures patient safety and regulatory compliance by following infection-control and standard precautions medication and patient identification protocols informed consent requirements advance directives confidentiality National Patient Safety Goals and organizational policies.
  • Advocates for and educates patients and families providing individualized education emotional support culturally responsive care and opportunities for informed decision-making throughout the surgical experience.
  • Collaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary team through accurate SBAR handoffs delegation and supervision care coordination timely documentation change-of-shift/transfer reporting emergency preparedness and ongoing professional development.
Job Requirements

  • Evidence of OR education and one (1) year current OR experience upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA RN upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - BLS upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS upon hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - PALS upon hire


Preferred

  • Spanish speaking experience
