Job Summary:
- We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) ICU to join the Medical Intensive Care Unit team. The RN will provide high-quality patient-centered care while coordinating planning implementing and evaluating individualized patient care plans. This role requires strong clinical judgment critical thinking and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- The RN will also communicate effectively with patients and families provide patient education and participate in identifying and resolving variances in patient care goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU patients
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies safety standards and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage complex and high-acuity patients
