Qualifications
- Required Associates Degree or equivalent Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an associates degree or equivalent.
- Required Bachelors Degree B.S.N. or M.S.N or DNP/PhD - if not minimum BSN prepared new graduate/nurse with less than one (1) year experience is required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within one (1) year of licensure date and complete within five (5) years required. This is effective April 18 2023.
- 2 years of relevant experience 2 years related acute care nursing experience. Must demonstrate proficiency through competency testing in all nursing areas eligible for floating. Required
- Internal candidates with less than 2 years of clinical experience must be approved by their current nurse leader and the site Chief Nursing Officer. The candidates are to remain a unit-based PRN (casual) employee until they reach 2 years of nursing experience. Required
- LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - CANADIAN HEART AND STROKE FOUNDATION Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation Upon Hire required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Endoscopy (exception for Dearborn Farmington Hills Taylor). Upon Hire required Or
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association Radiology Pre-Op PACU Emergency Care Critical Care 180 Days required
- CRT-Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Emergency Care 1 Year required And
- CRT-Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - ENA Emergency Nurses Association Emergency Care 1 Year required
- CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Mother Baby Care Family Birth Center NICU 180 Days required
- CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association Pediatrics 1 Year required Or
- CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association Pre-Op PACU 180 Days required
- CRT-Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM) - NCC National Certification Corporation Family Birth Center 1 Year required
