Risk Specialist, Special Programs , Relay Product Excellence

Want to be at the center of how an organization delivers Relay Program Excellence (RPE) protects Customers Carriers Drivers and Amazon globally through fast-paced investigation and analytics and we need a leader with a background in program management and risk mitigation to help keep the programmatic infrastructure running.

In this role youll help maintain the operating rhythms execution standards and governance mechanisms that bring consistency to a growing portfolio of Risk and Investigation initiatives. Working closely with RPE stakeholders youll help apply the operating lifecycle framework program capacity planning methodology and execution standards that support day-to-day delivery including how new programs are onboarded how entitlement is tracked and how cross-functional initiatives move through delivery.

Youll also help support ad hoc Special Programs and coordinate across product Risk operations finance and legal to keep mechanisms running as the organization grows.

The ideal candidate brings clear communication skills strong attention to detail and a data-driven mindset with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders build trust across partner teams and deliver reliably with guidance in a fast-paced environment.


Key job responsibilities

- Lead and support teams in investigating managing and resolving high-impact incidents and escalations.
- Draft and present deep-dive reports
- Analyze existing policy and process gaps developing and implementing solutions to close them.
- Manage and own projects aimed at improving operational efficiency including data analysis and collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Communicate program status delivery blockers and updates to program managers and stakeholders through clear written summaries and data
- Help run the organizations operating rhythm Weekly Business Reviews (WBRs) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) compiling inputs and maintaining data integrity across Risk program metrics and support OP planning cycles


A day in the life
In this role youll work through defined tasks with some ambiguity reviewing program health metrics flagging where attention is needed and adjusting as new information emerges. Youll help keep cross-functional teams aligned translating data into clear summaries for stakeholders. Youll help run and maintain the mechanisms WBRs MBRs operating rhythms that keep programs accountable and on track. Youll follow processes that raise the bar on quality and delivery and suggest improvements where you see them. And through it all youll connect your day-to-day work back to the teams broader goals.

Middle Mile Transportation Technology moves millions of packages across Amazons network daily Relay Program Excellence (RPE) ensures those systems stay protected. We sit at the intersection of product and operations building programs that close gaps where automation hasnt yet reached. Our program managers analysts and investigators deliver rapid-cycle investigation and analytics that safeguard our stakeholders globally.
Within RPE the Strategic Programs and Organizational Excellence (SPOX) team is the connective tissue owning the intake frameworks milestone governance execution methodology and operating rhythms that give teams structure to move fast.

- 2 years of project/program management experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in data analysis using tools such as Excel Pivot Tables SQL Tableau or equivalent
- Experience using data and metrics in a business or operational setting
- Exposure to an investigations trust & safety fraud compliance or risk-operations domain (or supporting programs in one)

- Knowledge of at least one data visualization product (Tableau Looker Amazon QuickSight etc.)
- Experience communicating results to stakeholders
- Experience supporting capacity planning operations planning or business analysis
- Experience coordinating cross-functional projects or tasks in support of business goals

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
