Job Summary
We are seeking an experiencedRF Test Engineerwith experience in Wireless and RF technologies to join our team. As a Test Engineer in this position the candidate would work with various types of RF diagnostic and testing tools to test and debug failures and defects.
What a typical day looks like:
- Support the testing measuring and troubleshooting of complex electronic and RF circuit card assemblies systems and sub-assemblies using specialized equipment to analyze signal strength interference and other relevant parameters.
- Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as Oscilloscopes RF signal generators Spectrum analyzers Network analyzers multimeters.
- Troubleshoot and maintain test equipment to ensure the ongoing functionality of the equipment.
- Generate and review the technical content of test procedures drawings engineering specifications reports Engineering Change Orders and other documentation.
- Assist in Monitor Quality data for trends and outliers and report regularly to the team.
- Generate and implement improvements in test design and develop methodologies to reduce cost increase yield and improve throughput.
- Interface with Engineering Quality and other supporting functions to drive defect resolution to root cause.
- Provide training and support for manufacturing personnel.
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
- Bachelors degree in CS CE EE/Electronics or related field (MSEE or advanced degree preferred)
- 6-8 years of experience using RF measurement and test equipment including power meters signal generators spectrum analyzers and network analyzers
- to debug to the component level in RF circuit cards
- to troubleshoot test systems and drive improvements
- Demonstrate strong technical aptitude communication skills and be able to work cross-functionally within the operations organization and with other disciplines/functions.
- Programming or scripting experience (Python or C#)
- Experience with Circuit card assemblies; Test Design troubleshoot
- Problem solving capabilities and experience using metrics and data to drive actions
- Proven track record of solving/ troubleshooting complicated production issues and/ or driving yield improvements
