FLSA Status: Part Time Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: 24-28 hours per week (3 shifts per week)

Work Location: Thrift Store Colorado Springs Location

Pay Range: $18.66 $19.66 per hour depending on experience. $1 dollar increase for bilingual individuals (Spanish German Korean).

GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

The Retail Team Lead serves as a key holder and shift leader for the Silver Key Thrift Store. Responsible for smooth day-to-day operations consistent execution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) measurable donation processing productivity and exceptional customer service during assigned shifts.

As there is not always a supervisor on-site daily this position operates independently with accountability while maintaining consistent communication with the Retail Supervisor and Director of Retail Operations who provide weekly oversight.

This role requires physical stamina operational focus trend awareness and the ability to lead volunteers with both warmth and accountability in a fast-paced community-centered retail environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creates an extraordinary customer service experience by providing a warm and welcoming store that is clean and organized
• Serves as key holder and assumes responsibility for store operations during assigned shifts.
• Executes and upholds all Standard Operating Procedures consistently.
• Trains supports directs and works alongside volunteers to carry out the day-to-day operations and reinforce productivity standards.
• Maintains consistent donation processing and ensures daily production expectations are met.
• Maintains the proper processing pricing and stocking of DME donations.
• Provides specialized customer service to individuals in need of DME.
• Coordinates the proper processing pricing and storage of Durable Medical Equipment.
• Ensures DME inventory is managed properly both on the sales floor and in storage.
• Balances customer service volunteer coordination and processing momentum.
• Responsible for daily cash handling register reconciliation and deposits as assigned.
• Works closely with Retail Supervisor and the Director of Operations to carry out changes that support the growth of the store and volunteers.
• Contributes to a work atmosphere that is safe productive efficient and fun
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises volunteers only.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of retail and cash handling experience
• Two years of volunteer leadership experience
• Additional college coursework in business retail management or related field preferred - or equivalent professional experience demonstrating increased responsibility.

DESIRABLE PREFERRED OR SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• A passion and knowledge of both classic and current fashion trends
• Ability to identify items of value and merchandise efficiently and creatively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Previous thrift store experience a plus

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

• Must possess and maintain a Colorado Drivers License.

DRIVING DUTIES

Might be asked to help cover Monument store on occasion and attend special trainings at that location.

• Bending: Frequent stooping kneeling or crouching to access lower shelves.
• Lifting and Carrying: Must lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Pushing and Pulling: Constant pushing and pulling of carts or merchandise.
• Stamina: Ability to sustain physical productivity in a fast-paced resale environment.
• Visual Acuity: Adequate vision for reading labels operating equipment and ensuring accuracy.
