Job Summary
Kent Hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care and assist with the diagnosis treatment and rehabilitation of patients with cardiopulmonary diseases and disorders.
Responsibilities
* Perform respiratory treatments according to physician orders.
* Administer aerosol medications and provide lung expansion and airway clearance treatments.
* Maintain and manage natural and artificial airways.
* Obtain arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis and interpret results.
* Manage monitor and assess ventilators.
* Perform nasal oral and pharyngeal suctioning.
* Provide emergency respiratory care including airway management CPR and ventilatory support.
* Assist with patient transportation using appropriate respiratory equipment.
* Administer oxygen using various delivery devices.
* Document treatments medications and patient responses in medical records.
* Communicate patient information during staff handoffs.
* Educate patients and families about respiratory care.
* Assist in training employees and students.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years of experience.
* Current Rhode Island Respiratory Therapist license.
* Current CRT or RRT certification.
* Current BLS certification.
* Travel Respiratory Therapist experience is preferred.

Required Education:
Associate degree or bachelors degree in respiratory therapy from an accredited program.
