Mental Health Practitioner

SUMMARYThe Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner provides assistance to individuals with mental health conditions in their journey towards recovery and independence. They work closely with clients to develop personalized rehabilitation plans focusing on areas such as daily living skills employment education and socialization. The practitioner utilizes various therapeutic techniques and interventions to help clients manage their symptoms develop coping strategies and improve their overall JOB FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Conduct a variety of assessments including crisis medical/behavioral emergency (such as suicidal) veteran affairs immediate needs functional living skills and resource interpretative summaries and develop crisis/treatment/behavioral plans and goals for progress notes summaries and group and individual counseling services utilizing skills teaching case management and household the treatment/rehabilitative activities and strategies including crisis prevention and medication in weekly staff significant / major incidents or high levels of mutual trust and support with others. Provide coaching/learning and promote consumer choice and facilitates the operation in a positive manner to the community and outside community integration and choice proper authorities of circumstances or situations that present possible health and implement established policies on health safety security code of conduct regulation and company RESPONSIBILITIESNoneMinimum Knowledge and Skills required for the JobThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or abilities required to perform the job. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or of 2000 hours (post Bachelor degree) of verifiable work experience providing services and support to individuals with mental degree in one of the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university experience in managing systems processes and Licenses and Registrations:Valid drivers license and car insurance Skills and Abilities:Able to perform duties independently and as a to communicate verbally and in general office equipment Requirements:Travel as Requirements:Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body.
