The Research and Grant Analyst supports the College by collecting analyzing interpreting maintaining and reporting institutional data to evaluate organizational effectiveness and support continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Institutional Effectiveness the Research and Grant Analyst collaborates with faculty staff and administrators across the institution to provide accurate data-informed support for strategic planning policy development institutional research grant administration compliance reporting and decision-making.
This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy integrity and confidentiality of institutional data; preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders; coordinating survey administration; and providing data entry and records management support. The incumbent may also perform data entry and related administrative duties for other College divisions as operational needs require. Listed below are the primary duties of this position; however the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Institutional Effectiveness/Dean of Instruction may assign other professional responsibilities to meet the Colleges needs.- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare analyze and distribute routine and ad hoc institutional reports to support planning assessment accreditation and administrative decision-making.
- Consult with faculty staff and administrators to determine reporting needs and develop clear accurate and meaningful reports for a variety of audiences.
- Collect validate maintain and analyze institutional data from multiple internal and external data sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Prepare and submit required reports for state and federal agencies accrediting bodies grant-funded programs and other regulatory entities in accordance with established deadlines.
- Assist with grant-related research data collection reporting and documentation to support compliance with funding requirements.
- Coordinate institutional surveys by serving as the primary administrative contact assisting with survey design and implementation managing distribution monitoring participation analyzing results and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry data verification record maintenance and document management in support of Institutional Effectiveness and other College divisions as needed.
- Provide administrative and data support for special projects institutional initiatives and cross-functional assignments as directed.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive institutional data in accordance with applicable laws regulations and College policies.

- Maintain eligibility to enter and work within all assigned Alabama Department of Corrections/Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles facilities as required for continued employment.
- Serve on College committees task forces and work groups as assigned.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission vision and philosophy of a comprehensive community and technical college.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Associate Dean of Faculty Development and Institutional Effectiveness or designee.
- Comply with all applicable policies procedures and guidelines established by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) Board of Trustees the Alabama Community College System and J.F. Ingram State Technical College.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software applications used for data extraction validation analysis reporting and database management; experience with relational databases such as Ellucian Banner is preferred.
- Knowledge of institutional research methodologies statistical analysis data visualization and reporting practices.
- Experience in survey development administration analysis and reporting.
- Working knowledge of grant administration grant reporting institutional planning and assessment processes within higher education.
- Knowledge of state federal and accrediting agency requirements related to institutional data collection reporting and compliance.
- Ability to accurately enter verify maintain and manage large volumes of data while ensuring a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical organizational project management and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with faculty staff administrators and external partners.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment when handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to foster an inclusive work environment and effectively engage with individuals from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in institutional research data analysis statistical reporting grant writing grant administration or a closely related field.
- Must pass a clear background check.
- Must be eligible to enter any Department of Corrections (DOC) Pardon and Paroles facilities to perform the job duties and maintain this status for continued employment.
- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred.

Salary Range: Salary will be determined by placement on the appropriate Alabama Community College System-approved salary schedule. Salary Schedule E2 02 ($52707 - $70896)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch break.
