Department Overview
Childrens Hospital Oakland is part of a Federally Qualified Health Center with large number of families at or below the poverty line and recent immigrants. We provide speciality mental health care and are embedded in the primary care setting with 2000 annual encounters. The FQHC integrates a multidisciplinary team that is highly collaborative and motivated to work with the population.
Job Summary
Involves gathering analyzing and interpreting a wide variety of research data. Designs and conducts research including selecting data samples developing research instruments analyzing collected information according to established statistical methods and developing recommendations based on research findings. Prepares reports charts tables and other visual aids to interpret and communicate data and results.
Responsibilities
Statistical and Data Analysis
Under direct supervision performs basic statistical and data analysis.
Research Data Collection and Preparation
Collects research data and prepares it for analysis.
Study Design and Survey Development
Assists with study design proposals and survey instruments.
Research Instruments and Data Sources
Supports testing of research instruments and data sources.
Data Reporting Products
Assists with evaluation and research of data reporting products.
Data Storage Documentation and Dissemination
Develops knowledge in areas of storage documentation and dissemination of computerized data.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ability to effectively manage time and see assigned parts of projects through to completion on deadline.
- Basic consultation and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Acquiring knowledge of research function. Acquiring ability to perform research analysis duties.
- Acquiring statistical analysis systems programming and database design skills to perform research analysis duties.
EDUCATION

- Bachelors degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
