The Senior Product Quality Control Inspector ensures that product quality specifications comply with corporate and customer standards. This role supports the implementation of QA/QC policies and oversees product assessments and vendor evaluations.
This job profile is intended for support-level staff that generally works autonomously and only requires closer supervision in non-routine situations.

Shift: Day Shift and Occasional Weekends
Company Overview:
Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialize in the repair overhaul and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines compressors expanders and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas Pipeline Petrochemical Ammonia Nitric Acid Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
Position Summary
Provide inspection support to the quality control department
Responsibilities
- Inspecting new parts with a wide range of metrology equipment (Micrometers CMM ATOS blue light scanning ect.)
- Operating quality control hardware and software programs.
- Evaluating inspection results per manufacturing/repair drawings.
- Returning rejected parts to appropriate shop members.
- Providing feedback to improve department processes.
- Support the drafting department with instructions as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Have exposure to precision hand tools (micrometers calipers height gauges depth gauges etc.)
- Have been exposed to or willing to learn digital equipment like CMM
- Make logical decisions and provide inspection feedback to the machinists
- Be proactive and solution oriented
- Be familiar with CAD and component drawings
- Be familiar with GDT per ASME Y14.5M-2009.
- Have clear communication both written and oral.
- Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
