A leader in Alzheimers research our mission is to discover develop and commercialise innovative products for the diagnosis treatment and cure of neurodegenerative disorders. Our strong research team supported by cooperative relationships with multiple academic institutions around the world has focussed on the tau pathway which is believed to be one of the critical causes of neurodegeneration. We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team and contribute to this vital work.

Job Overview

We are looking for a talented and creative UX/UI Designer to join our fully remote this role you will be responsible for designing engaging and intuitive digital experiences that support our mission to combat neurodegenerative diseases. You will work on a variety of projects from internal research tools to public-facing digital platforms ensuring that all our digital products are user-friendly accessible and visually aligned with our brand. This position is available on both a part-time and full-time basis offering flexibility to the right candidate. The compensation for this role is between $25 - $35 USD per hour commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex scientific requirements and user needs into intuitive wireframes user flows mock-ups and prototypes.
  • Design and deliver elegant user-centred interfaces and visual designs for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate closely with researchers product managers and developers to define and implement innovative solutions.
  • Conduct user research interviews and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a consistent design system and brand guidelines across all digital products.
  • Effectively communicate design ideas and rationale to stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Stay current with the latest UX/UI trends techniques and technologies to ensure our digital presence is modern and effective.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional experience as a UX/UI Designer or in a similar role supported by a strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma Sketch or Adobe XD.
  • A solid understanding of user-centred design principles accessibility standards and interaction design best practices.
  • Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail typography and colour.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem-solving and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
  • Experience designing for the healthcare pharmaceutical or scientific research sectors is highly desirable but not essential.
