Job Summary
As a Reliability Engineer at Impulse Space you will partner with Maintenance Facilities Engineering and Production Departments to develop and implement a site-wide reliability program focused on maximizing the uptime availability and lifecycle of critical infrastructure and equipment.
You will own the development and continuous improvement of our CMMS preventive and predictive maintenance strategies asset criticality framework and reliability metrics. The systems and processes you develop will be designed to scale with rapid production growth equipment changes and expansion across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own a site-wide reliability and asset management program forcritical facilities infrastructure and equipment
- Partner with Maintenance Production and Engineering to develop robust preventive and predictive maintenance strategies that can be standardized and deployed across multiple sites
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site CMMS including asset hierarchy equipment records PM programs work orders spare parts and maintenance history
- Develop maintenance strategies that can adapt to equipment relocations retrofits new installations and evolving production requirements
- Define reliability and maintainability requirements for new equipment and infrastructure installations including maintenance access monitoring redundancy and critical spares
- Establish asset criticality assessments and maintenance priorities based on operational impact safety cost and failure consequences
- Support deployment of predictive maintenance and condition-monitoring systems using BMS and other equipment monitoring systems
- Monitor equipment data alarms trends and performance indicators; establish appropriate alarm thresholds and escalate developing issues to Maintenance and Engineering leadership.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and other reliability analyses to identify and mitigate repetitive or high-consequence failuresIdentify opportunities to improve equipment reliability maintainability
and lifecycle cost through engineering modifications and maintenance strategy changes. - Track and report key maintenance and reliability metrics including equipment uptime PM compliance corrective vs. preventive maintenance open work orders mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR)
- Develop reliability standards procedures and best practices that can be
replicated across Impulse Space facilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Reliability Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered
- 5 years of progressive experience in reliability engineering maintenance engineering facilities engineering or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience implementing or significantly improving CMMS systems and maintenance programs
- Demonstrated experience developing preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs
- Strong understanding of maintenance and reliability principles asset
management and failure analysis - Demonstrated experience working directly with maintenance organizations and technicians.
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing aerospace industrial data center semiconductor or other high-reliability environments
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with critical power HVAC process utilities vacuum systems test stands launch infrastructure RF systems avionics or other mission-critical equipment
- Experience with BMS PLC/SCADA condition monitoring vibration monitoring thermography or other predictive maintenance technologies
- Experience developing asset criticality assessments FMEA/FMECA reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) or lifecycle maintenance strategies
- Experience scaling maintenance and reliability programs across multiple facilities or rapidly growing organizations
- Experience supporting new equipment installation commissioning and equipment relocations from a reliability and maintainability perspective
- Experience with CMMS platforms asset management systems and maintenance data analytics

Compensation bands are determined by role level location and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills education experience technical capabilities and internal addition to base salary for full-time hires you may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options and access to medical vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
