The Internet Technologies Operations Team is looking for a passionate and experienced Release Engineer that can help drive the delivery of some of the most popular Apps at Apple: Messages FaceTime and Phone. As an engineer on this team you will be directly responsible for beginning the process that delivers Apple Software to millions worldwide. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with experience using Continuous Integration systems and a passion for automation and software development processes. You will help develop tools to improve the productivity of the development and quality teams as well as collaborate with others at Apple to drive and improve the integration and release process. 2 years of experience in a release engineering configuration management or software engineering role (DevOps SRE SDET SWE Build Engineer)nExpertise with SCM systems (git preferred) release engineering branching strategies pull requests git workflowsnExpertise with scripting languages like Python Go Bash JavaScript The ability to adapt quickly to new technical environments and resolve sophisticated problemsnExpertise working with engineering and project management teams which requires strong communication and coordination skillsnExperience with Unix/Terminal/Command Line/Bash

Ability to propose changes and improvements and communicate system status automatically and efficiently in ways that incentivize process in configuration management for deploying configuring and managing servers and with databases (SQL Non-rel)nExpertise with continuous integration systems (ex. Jenkins)nFamiliarity with highly scalable distributed systems parallel workflows and experience defining and driving data structures APIs or persistence layers for communication features
