Job Summary

Technical Specialist Role

This entry-level engineering role requires the ability to independently apply standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria to solve complex power system problems using professional judgment.

Core Responsibilities

Protection Settings & Analysis: Design and manage protective device settings across multiple manufacturer platforms.
System Studies & Modeling: Conduct short-circuit analyses coordination studies arc flash assessments and fault investigations using industry-standard simulation software.
Regulatory Compliance: Develop and review verification reports to ensure alignment with standard regional grid reliability and protection mandates.
Project Support & Design: Apply engineering standards to design ground grids size transformers perform load flow studies and support system lighting and relaying tasks.
Coordination & Communication: Collaborate with project engineers and clients to maintain project schedules manage document control systems and occasionally visit field sites.

Candidate Qualifications

Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
Experience: No prior experience required.
Technical Knowledge: A strong foundation in power system analysis and protection principles.
Key Skills: Exceptional organization strong computer proficiency high attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%.
