Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Location: St. Joseph Hospital 172 Kinsley St. Nashua NH 03060
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
EMR System: EPIC
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years
License: Active New Hampshire RN license required
Certifications: BLS/BCLS and ACLS
Holiday Coverage: Required

St. Joseph Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care assess patients conditions develop and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and ensure safe high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department.

• Assess patients upon admission including medical history current condition vital signs laboratory results imaging and other diagnostic findings.

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.

• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses.

• Maintain accurate patient documentation while ensuring confidentiality.

• Follow established patient safety standards and nursing protocols.

• Communicate effectively with patients families physicians and interdisciplinary team members.

• Provide culturally sensitive care while respecting patients backgrounds beliefs and individual needs.

• Respond professionally to feedback and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.

• Current valid New Hampshire RN license.

• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.

• Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications.

• Strong patient assessment communication documentation and clinical skills.

• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and provide holiday coverage as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Emergency Department or relevant clinical experience.

• Specialty nursing certification and membership in a professional nursing organization.
