Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: Nights holiday coverage required
Guaranteed Hours: No guarantee
Experience: Minimum 3 years RN experience; at least 1 year mental health nursing required
EMR: EPIC

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Emergency Psych night shift contract in Lewiston Maine. This role is ideal for an RN with strong behavioral health experience who can provide safe compassionate care to psychiatric patients in a crisis and emergency mental health setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care for emergency psychiatric patients

• Develop and update individualized interdisciplinary plans of care

• Assess patient needs evaluate outcomes and identify available resources

• Support patients with mental health crisis detoxification and medical care needs

• Work with patients ages 5 and older with psychiatric conditions

• Communicate effectively with physicians staff patients and families

• Document care accurately using EPIC

• Manage stress and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations

Requirements

• Active Maine Registered Nurse license required

• Associate degree in nursing required

• BLS/BCLS required

• CPI certification required and must be current before start

• Minimum 1 year mental health nursing experience required

• Minimum 3 years RN experience required

• Strong communication teamwork and crisis-management skills required

• Candidate must live outside a 50-mile radius

• Candidates with licensure hits cannot be submitted

• Previous St. Marys employees not accepted
