Registered Nurse Pediatrics (RN)

At Deaconess Gateway Hospital our Pediatric team provides compassionate specialized care for some of our communitys youngest patients. The Pediatric Unit is a 19-bed unit featuring 4 PICU beds dedicated to caring for critically ill children and those requiring advanced monitoring. Nurses on this unit have the opportunity to care for infants children and adolescents with a wide variety of diagnoses creating a dynamic and rewarding practice environment.

Youll work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes pediatric hospitalists pediatric intensivists pediatric nurses respiratory therapists nutritionists physical and occupational therapists as well as specialists in pediatric GI neurology cardiology and infectious disease.

As a Registered Nurse on our Pediatric Unit you will:

• Provide compassionate patient-centered care to pediatric patients.
• Utilize critical thinking and clinical judgment to assess plan implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate and manage patient care plans.
• Supervise care delivered by other members of the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families throughout their healthcare journey.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Required:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or a Compact State

Preferred:

• One (1) year of RN experience
• Previous pediatric nursing experience
