About the Role

Hello RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated nursing support to a student in Aurora this role youll work closely with one student to support their medical and health needs during the afternoon including riding school transportation with the student.

Youll collaborate with the students family school staff and educational team to ensure the student receives safe consistent and individualized medical care. This is a great opportunity for nurses interested in pediatrics special education or providing one-on-one care in a school-based environment.

What Youll Do

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and medical support to a student

• Monitor the students health status and respond to medical needs throughout the school day

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans

• Follow the students individualized healthcare plan and established medical protocols

• Assist with activities and routines as needed based on the students medical needs

• Accompany and provide nursing support to the student while riding school transportation

• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in the students condition

• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing services and student health information

• Communicate with the students family school staff and healthcare providers as appropriate

• Collaborate with special education staff and the students educational team

• Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable health and safety requirements
  

What Were Looking For

• Active Colorado RN license

• Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain

• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check

• Pediatric school nursing special education or 1:1 nursing experience preferred

• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond calmly to changing medical needs

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Comfortable providing individualized care and accompanying a student during school transportation

• Passion for supporting students and helping them safely access their education
