Job Summary
Job Title: Regional ControllerEmployer: Balfour Beatty Infrastructure To: VP of Finance / CFO Balfour Beatty Infrastructure Inc. The Regional Controller is a senior member of the Region Management Team which is led by the Regional Vice President and accountable for the overall direction and performance of the Region business :The Regional Controller is responsible for the financial management of the Region including but not limited to:Maintain the Regions financial records in accordance with BBII Standard Operating Procedures and GAAP including support activities such as AP AR and report and deliver monthly financial reports to Regional and Corporate detailed project and division overhead cost and revenue in monthly financial review meetings with Senior Corporate Management covering all aspects of divisional a control environment consistent with BBII cash forecasting and cash with and represent the Region in internal external and government a detailed understanding of all projects and operations within the Regional Responsibilities:Hire train and develop qualified motivated effectively in a hands-on team-oriented all regional and project accounting the preparation review and accuracy of budgets and other financial operating accurate reports that summarize and forecast financial position including income expenses and budget-to-actual and report actual results against key performance indicators and provide continuous improvement plans to enhance business financial reports for variances against forecasts budgets and benchmarks and provide recommendations to operating expenses recommend cost-reduction opportunities and lead the monthly SG&A review the financial aspects of major bids including equipment purchase or lease analysis projected cash flow insurance and property to the development and updating of the Regions strategic quarterly Cost to Complete meetings for all active internal monthly or as-needed joint venture board strong working relationships with joint venture accounting staff and annual property tax renditions and represent the Region in appraisal and approve all check edits before and approve all payroll edits before a weekly 13-week rolling cash forecast in the biweekly Financial Leadership Team conference balance sheet reconciliations are completed other duties as assigned by the CFO or Regional Vice ExperienceBachelors degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience.1015 years of financial management experience with at least 5 years preferred in the engineering construction or professional services industry. Joint venture experience is a ability to perform the key responsibilities of the role through relevant education and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Ability to gather and organize data for financial to analyze complex information and make sound of financial reporting budgeting and forecasting communication skills for working with operations computer and software leadership and people management budgeting and financial analysis skills.
