About Our Client

Our client is a premier national distributor specializing in residential and light commercial HVAC products parts and supplies. They serve licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors across a large multi-state footprint with hundreds of locations positioned to meet their customers HVAC/R needs.


The Opportunity

The Area Wholesale Manager works closely with the Directors of Sales Regional Directors of Operations and Regional Product Management to align the wholesale branches with overall company and regional strategy.

This position keeps the branches focused on increased sales profitability and market share in the assigned market working directly with Branch Sales Managers and Branch Sales Reps while driving key operational performance metrics.

The role also continuously evaluates branch merchandising operating systems policies procedures and processes for improvement opportunities while fostering a culture of collaboration sharing and development across the market. Recruiting and developing branch sales associates to build a strong talent pipeline is a meaningful part of the job.


What Youll Do
  • Oversee branch operations along with sales and profitability goals for a group of wholesale branches in an assigned market
  • Formulate strategies and action plans to maximize sales at each branch
  • Ensure every branch delivers the highest level of customer service
  • Work directly with local sales teams to drive branch traffic and gather useful feedback from dealers on customer service
  • Participate in recruiting hiring and training Sales Associates Branch Sales Reps and Branch Sales Managers
  • Develop coach and motivate branch teams to maintain high professional standards and hit monthly sales and EBIT targets
  • Conduct regular audits and sales and business reviews using BI tools to find opportunities to grow sales and profitability
  • Stretch challenge and develop branch leaders to keep the leadership pipeline flowing
  • Analyze operational situations and make sound recommendations for correcting processes

What You Bring

Required

  • Three or more years of demonstrated sales leadership
  • Proven leadership and coaching abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills plus excellent presentation and phone skills
  • Strong business decision-making and solid financial acumen
  • Solid problem-solving ability and a high sense of urgency
  • Excellent time management organization and planning skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • A self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and stays focused on results
  • An engaging leadership style that builds credibility with vendors staff colleagues and customers
  • Strong work ethic high energy and a genuine passion for sales
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred

  • B2B sales leadership with a track record of sales and margin growth
  • Retail or distribution experience
  • Bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field
