Job Summary

We are seeking a skilledCommercial Refrigeration Technicianwith proven experience in servicing maintaining and installing commercial refrigeration systems. You must possess strong technical knowledge a MA refrigeration license and a commitment to safety and compliance with industry regulations. We work mostly in wastewater plants plants and schools.

Location: MA

Pay: $75-100/hr- ALL WORK WILL BE PREVAILING WAGE WORK IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN MA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Setup
  • Install/ service commercial refrigeration systems
  • Conduct site assessments and ensure proper placement electrical connections and insulation.
  • Configure control systems and verify operational efficiency.
  • Maintenance & Repair
  • Perform routine maintenance: clean coils replace filters inspect electrical components and check refrigerant levels.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and refrigerant-related issues.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system failures.
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Adhere toOSHANSF/ANSI 7 andEPA Section 608standards.
  • Handle refrigerants safely and legally ensuring proper recovery recycling and disposal.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation for regulatory compliance.
  • Customer Service & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding system performance repairs and energy efficiency.
  • Provide recommendations for upgrades or preventive maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA Refrigeration license
  • 3-5 years of experience in commercial refrigeration.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety protocols and walk-in cooler design standards.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record and clean background.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with energy-efficient systems and environmentally friendly refrigerants.
  • Knowledge of building codes and refrigeration regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls.
