Position Summary

This position supports the work ofthe Y a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development healthy living and social responsibility.

The RecruitingSpecialistcoordinates and executes organization-wide recruitment for theY helping attract and hire talented mission-aligned employees across full-time part-time seasonal professional and frontline positions. Working closely with hiring managers and HR leadership this position manages the day-to-day recruiting process from job postingthrough hire whilestrengthening talent pipelines recruiting practices employer presence andthe candidateexperience.

As an important first point of connection with prospective employees the RecruitingSpecialisthelps ensure every candidate experiences a hiring process that is welcoming responsive professional and reflective of our Y culture.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates full-cycle recruitment across the organization including job postings sourcing application review initial screening interview scheduling candidate communication references offers pre-employment requirements and transition to onboarding.

  • Partners with hiring managers to clarify staffing needs position requirements hiring timelines and candidateprofiles;recommendspractical recruiting approaches for high-volume and difficult-to-fill positions.

  • Actively sources candidates through job boards social media referrals community partnerships colleges and universities workforce organizations professional networks job fairs and other creative channels.

  • Conducts initial candidate screenings to assess qualifications interest availability compensation expectations and alignment with the Ys mission and culture; provides hiring managers with qualified candidate recommendations.

  • Coordinates interview processes andmaintainstimely professional communication with candidates and hiring managers throughoutselectionand hiring.

  • Prepares andmaintainsjob postings recruiting materials interview resources candidate records hiring documentation andaccurateinformation within applicant tracking and HR systems.

  • Coordinates references background checksrequiredcredentials and other pre-employment requirements; works with HR and hiring managers to ensure a smooth handoff into new-hire onboarding.

  • Representsthe Y at job fairs hiring events schools and community organizations anddevelopsongoing relationships that strengthen talent pipelines.

  • Supports the Ys employer brand by communicating our mission culture employee experience career opportunities and community impact authentically and consistently.

  • Tracks recruiting activity and key measures such as applicant flow time-to-fill source effectiveness hiring outcomes and recurring staffing challenges;identifiesopportunities to improve recruiting effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Maintains awareness of recruiting trends and local labor-market conditions and brings forward recommendations to strengthen the Ys ability to attract and hire talent.

  • Supports seasonal and high-volume hiring initiatives and other HR projects and administrative needs as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3-1/2years of experience in recruiting talent acquisition human resources staffing or a closely related field; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

  • Previousexperience coordinating multiple searches or hiring processes simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience screening and interviewing candidates and assessing qualifications for a variety of positions.

  • Previousexperiencewith applicant tracking systems HR technology job boards and core business software including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent written verbal interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Previousexperiencemanagingdetailed administrative work accurately whilemaintainingresponsiveness confidentiality and sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience recruiting for aYMCAnonprofit education childcare recreation healthcare hospitality or other high-volume/service-orientedorganization.

  • Experience recruiting for a combination of professional frontline part-time and seasonal positions.

  • Experience developing community recruiting partnerships andrepresentingan organization at job fairs or hiring events.

  • Experience using recruiting data and metrics to improve hiring outcomes.

  • Conversational fluency in Spanish.
