Summary

Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines their families and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel civilian employees contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.


Duties

Incumbent is assigned the Single Marine Program (SMP) within the Semper Fit Division of MCCS.

Performs and/or assists in the operation of the SMP. Based on established policies incumbent carries out assigned phases of designated activity applying an understanding of the interest and needs of program participants. Typical assignments may include leading assigned participants in indoor and outdoor activities conducting tours and field trips. Helps to plan and coordinate details of recreational activities and maintains related in planning scheduling and publicizing various activities to attract and motivate participants. Events may involve frequent travel working with large groups of people and working days nights and weekends.

Additional duties may include the creation of a monthly calendar of events and newsletter assisting with quarterly reporting to higher headquarters coordinating trip sign up and cash collecting maintaining and reporting on SMP government vehicles coordinating monthly meeting agendas managing volunteers and collecting and entering data. Assists with marketing the SMP feedback from patrons to improve the quality of service.

Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers smiles and makes eye contact. Asks questions to determine verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.

Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Uses required safety equipment and observes safe work procedures. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards and any injury occupational illness and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor.

Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EVALUATIONS:

Qualifications

Minimum one year experience in a related recreational possess a valid drivers become CPR/ AED certified within 3 months of hire. Must possess skill to demonstrate activities and use of related facility equipment. Must possess skill to learn applicable MCCS policies and procedures. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
