Receiving Coordinator

Under the guidance of the Outbound Manager the Receiving Supervisor will oversee receiving operations plan office production and act as a technical resource for the team. The Receiving Supervisorwill review inbound waste streams. The Receiving Supervisor ensures that all incoming waste is accurately entered into the inventory tracking system for proper management disposal and billing. Utilizing their strong leadership skills the Receiving Supervisor will ensure their staff input all waste in compliance with Clean Earths policy and applicable local state and federal regulations. The Receiving Supervisor will coordinate regularly with Plant management to ensure safe proper and consistent handling of all inbound waste.  

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions

Inbound 

• Manage inbound waste from service centers and other waste sources ensuring efficient and compliant operations. 
• Provide insights on waste entering inventory that requires lab testing. 
• Keep informed about updates in lab testing regulations and industry standards. 
• Accept waste for processing ensuring it meets company standards and regulatory requirements. 
• Maintains proper documentation and manifests for waste entering facility according to State and Federal requirements. 

Outbound 

• Offer expertise on outbound shipping strategies and methods providing recommendations for improvement. 

Plant Management 

• Direct coach and develop employees ensuring they meet operational needs and compliance with company policies. 
• Review Weekly and Monthly Production summaries. 
• Keep informed about updates in supply management regulations and industry standards. 
• Implement safety protocols and compliance measures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence. 
• Stay updated on changes in cost management regulations and industry standards and provide recommendations for improvement.  

Performs other related duties and/or project work as required or requested. 

Work Environment: 

• Ability to stand walk bend and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly without assistance and up to 75 pounds unassisted on occasion.
• Ability to push and pull up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack hand truck or other device to assist.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and indoors in non-climate-controlled environments.
• Visual acuity to read labels and documentation and sufficient depth perception to safely operate forklifts.
• Ability to hear vehicle warning chimes alarms and other audible safety signals.
• Ability and willingness to wear company-issued personal protection equipment (PPE) including but not limited to safety glasses hard hat steel-toed boots gloves Tyvek coveralls and respirator. 
• Ability to work overtime hours as needed based on business needs.
• Willingness and ability to travel via automobile commercial airline and other public transportation as needed 10% or less of the time. 

Qualifications :

• Education: (BA or BS degree required or preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelors degree in an environmental-related field preferred or equivalent work experience

• Experience: (Required minimum of years of relevant experience.)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER training completed and current or ability to obtain
  • 2 years of progressive environmental/hazardous waste management experience working in an operations capacity in receiving waste or materials management
  • Experience in the hazardous waste industry and general knowledge of RCRA and Department of Transportation (DoT) regulations as it relates to the transportation and processing of waste is preferred
  • Experience in team building and collaboration
  • Experience with employee engagement strategies and practices

• Skills: (The skills listed are the abilities and knowledge required to perform the job effectively.)
  • Understanding of waste profiling and tracking related to acceptance into inventory.
  • Able to implement and communicate continual improvement of productivity standards and team member safety in all phases of the operation in accordance with financial goals
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to waste management preferred
  • Understanding of safety lockout/tagout and compliance protocols preferred
  • Ability to analyze draw conclusions and develop actionable improvements from complex data
  • Understanding of data science methodologies and tools
  • Attention to detail in work tasks and documentation
  • Ability to lead and manage a team and delegate effectively
  • Basic proficiency in basic computer skills and software applications preferred
