RDP Production Supervisor

Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and direction to a large production team to ensure achievement of safety quality productivity and cost goals. This position plays a critical role in maintaining operational excellence by developing the workforce enforcing policies and driving continuous improvement across assigned departments.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct daily operations within the production department to meet production targets ensure safety and deliver quality that meets customer specifications.
• Supervise a team of 70 employees including both salaried and hourly personnel.
• Schedule track and monitor production performance and costs to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
• Maintain an effective workforce by managing hiring training coaching and corrective actions.
• Implement best practices and enforce consistent company policies and procedures.
• Complete and maintain timely accurate reports on key production metrics such as efficiency downtime and cost.
• Provide performance feedback to team members and communicate results both up and down the organization.
• Develop and lead safety awareness programs communicate safety concerns and conduct or lead investigations into safety incidents.
• Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives including process design and implementation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering maintenance quality and other departments to ensure alignment and success.

Candidate Requirements:

• Prefer bachelors degree in Industrial Management Engineering Business or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proficiency in statistical methods and process improvement techniques.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skillsboth verbal and writtenacross all levels of the organization.
• Effective team building and leadership skills with the ability to manage a large and diverse team.
• Ability to speak and read Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies as a member of the emergency response team.
