R&D- Technologist I

Job Summary
The R&D Technologist will work extensively in the Heavy Equipment market segment supporting Powder coating this role the associate will be accountable for conducting experiments recording results gaining basic knowledge of raw materials and powder coating technologies using lab equipment to prepare powder samples and various other activities related to developing powder coatings.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Responsibilities
Communicating effectively and promptly with managers peers and other stakeholders. This includes delivering formal and informal presentations as needed.
Hands-on development: formulating processing applying curing and testing of new powder coating products.
Participating in support of scale-up and manufacturing of new products.
Analyzing data to identify trends resolve customer issues and assess information for project advancement.
Leading projects with support from supervisor and/or a mentor chemist.
Establishing timelines and identifying resource needs to support project work.
Gaining knowledge/skills with raw materials instrumentation extrusion additives and substrates to develop superior performance coatings and perform troubleshooting when problems arise.
Providing timely and accurate data to help resolve field complaints raw material issues manufacturing problems and support existing and new product development
Use of SDS and raw materials management system
Adherence to safety policies and laboratory documentation.
May directly work with chemists or technicians to support team project goals.
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g. OPT CPT H1B EB-1etc.)
Bachelors degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Math field.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able with or without reasonable accommodation to determine the difference between colors so you can correctly tint paint to the colors desired by customers.
Proven project management skills
Computer knowledge for basic inputting communication and data analysis
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Power Point)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in powder coating research and development
Experience working in a laboratory environment
Experience in powder and/or liquid coating application
Travel Requirements: 10%
This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future including conversion to H-1B visa.
This position is also eligible for bonus based on performance and subject to the terms of the Companys applicable plans.
