PositionSummary:

Provides healthcare services applying x-ray energy toassistin the diagnosis or treatment of patients using radio/fluoroscopic procedures.Performs medical imaging techniques and related procedures todemonstrateanatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.

• Performs and documents all radiographic examinations withproficiency ensuring proper patient positioningappropriate techniqueselection and correct use of digital systems including RIS and Synapse/PACS.

• Verifies patient identityreviewsrequisitions and chart orders and records complete patient historyin accordance withACR standards and departmental policies prior to each procedure.

• Applies radiation safety protocols and adjusts technical factors based on patient anatomy while ensuring proper anatomical identification and orientation on all images.

• Conducts quality assurance and control activities in compliance with ACR State Department of Health Services and other credentialing requirementsutilizingmodality QA reports to drive continuous improvement.

• Maintains a safe organized work environment by assessing patient conditions applyingappropriate support/restrainingdevices managing supply inventory anddemonstratingprofessional courteous behavior with patients physicians and colleaguesat all times.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Successful completion of a radiology program at an accredited school

• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)

• State licensure where

• BCLS

• Competency in venipuncture aseptic technique universal precautions and documentation contrast administration and use of powerinjector

COMPENSATION:

The hourly range for this position is$25-$28.
